Katrina developed a keen interest in equality of opportunity through her extensive professional experience in secondary education in STEM subjects. Katrina has worked across the education sector as well as within a number of local voluntary sector organisations and knows the diversity and depth of potential in our community. She is deeply committed to bringing out the potential in and building the confidence of the young people she teaches. Katrina has a passionate belief in the need for transparent and open public service. She considers that the challenging role of Independent Assessor is very important in ensuring that Northern Ireland’s public bodies are well run organisations whose non-executive directors are drawn from a diverse background and range of skills.
